Hummingbird are proud to say that we are neither drone retailers nor retired pilots.
We are actively flying helicopters and drones, day in day out in the civilian airspace environment…the same environment that our students are trained to operate in. We will pass on all our knowledge of current aviation laws and practices and ensure that every Hummingbird graduate has the confidence and airmanship to operate safely in UK airspace.
Hummingbird UAV is owned by an ex-North Sea and Air Ambulance pilot with nearly 20 years commercial flying and training experience worldwide. Our instructors are some of the best in the UK and we are proud to say that we maintain a 100% safety record, both in Helicopters and drones.

CAA Drone Training
At Hummingbird UAV we have a fresh approach to drone training & assessment.
Hummingbird UAV provide first class drone training by employing highly qualified, experienced instructors teaching small groups in state-of-the-art training facilities. We will guide you through the Theory course, mentor you during the Operations Manual writing process and provide you with training as required to pass the Flight Assessment.

Early in the beginning of my journey into becoming a qualified UAV pilot and following some poor information from third parties. Following some discussion I was advised by a friend to call Matthew at Hummingbird for some advice on courses and drone choice.
From a this call a meeting was planned at hummingbird for some friendly advice, from this meeting the PFCO theory was scheduled - Matt, Helen and Lewis were always on hand to assist and lend professional assistance and advice throughout. Even planning the flight assessment, which deemed difficult due to my work commitments which led to multiple diary changes with assessments being cancelled, it was never an issue and another assessment was planned to fit my for every changing diary!
Hummingbird are a must for anyone wishing to gain their PFCO, friendly and professional training throughout along with an A class customer service!
